BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Wego offers high-quality tours for teen and adults with special needs year around. Our travel programs are unforgettable adventures. We are not your ordinary travel Camp! On our exciting, supervised educational travel programs, individuals learn new skills, make lifelong friends and explore extraordinary cultures in United States and abroad.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Camp Wego is a Travel camp serving teens and adult with special needs ages 14-65. We are a small travel special needs camp that travel in the United States and abroad. We are able to provide low staffing ratios, 1 to 4. (1:1 if needed) We have highly credentialed and experienced staff so each individuals needs are met. We add new and innovative travel and activities each year.
Our travel is designed to enhance social, friendship, culture, and other vital life skills that promote independence. Camp Wego helps travelers make new friends while traveling in a safe, fun and educational environment.
We offer high-quality supervised tours for teens and adults with special needs year around. Our travel programs are specialized for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome.
Individuals must be ambulatory and be able to take care of personal hygiene needs.

CAMP LOCATION: Our year-round office is located in Florida. Our trips depart and operate from many of domestic and international locations. Our staff training is held every year in Florida.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Wego is fully committed to developing life and social skills for individuals with special needs ages 14 and up. We believe that our travel trips are a great way to experience independence, improve social skills, and increase self-esteem in a secure, safe and also an exciting environment. Our primary goals are to help travelers build self-esteem, develop better social skills and self-expression, make and maintain friendships, improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and sensory integration.

TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp.
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: We offer fun Pewee Camps for the 4-8 year old. For 9-15 years we offer various types of horse camps. For 16-25 we offer adult level camps. Our camps are rich in instruction and fun! Our instructors are experienced horse owner/instructors having over 40 years combined experience in training, showing, trail riding in many different disciplines. Safety is our top priority! We use modern and classical techniques including Bio-Mechanics. If you have a child who loves horses bring them to us! They will love it!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Horses/Equestrian, and more. We Offer Field Trips Associated With Some Of Our Camps, Including The Opportunity To Learn About Horse Showing & Participating In A Local Show.
CAMP LOCATION: We are conveniently located 23 minutes from Georgetown Kentucky, 33 minutes from downtown Lexington Kentucky, and 9 minutes from Paris Kentucky. We are also located near the Kentucky Horse Park, 29 minutes and 35 min. from Masterson Station. Our farm is located on a trailer safe, comfortable to travel on 2 to 4 lane routes.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities include a very clean cement isle horse barn having a lounge, a bathroom, kitchen facilities, hot and cold wash wash bay for cleaning horses and a tack room. We have a round pen for training, Eurosizer, and an enclosed arena. We offer jumps for schooling and a jump field. Our facility is in a very peaceful quiet area and presents beautiful surroundings for all horse lovers to enjoy!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our staff all has clean background checks. All instructors have successful horse riding and training experience. Over 34 years of experience teaching and training children in many settings, including riding academy, school and church.
Our Camp Programs are designed to accomplish purposes unique to each week of camp. Some are pointed towards games, others toward learning about competition, others are just for fun! All camps will be learning the importance of balance and safety through the training of Bio-Mechanics. All camps offer riding lessons daily as well as other activities.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer year round riding lessons for pleasure and competition riders. Call for more information.

Camps begin June 1st 2016. We are accepting enrollment beginning February 18 through camp sessions. Early enrollment deadline for discounts is May 1 2016.

Camp XI: Fun Camp (9-15) July 13 - 15
Camp XII: All Breeds Camp (9-15) July 20-23 (includes Breyerfest)
Camp XIII: Fun Camp (9-15) July 25-26
Camp XIV: Fun Camp (9-15) July 27-29 (includes a trip to the Hats off Day at the Horse Park)
